So what do your chickens think of the heat? Our's run for cover whenever the sun shines... and it hasn't been above 80 more than a handful of days all summer. Maybe they're Arctic Chickens...

I love your blog, too. And you're living my dream.
The chickens run for shade, literally. Though they just started laying in June, 3 out of 4 not till the last week of June, our egg count was down due to the heat. I started putting ice water out for them twice a day and ordered the mister. The ice did the trick and got the egg count up to 3 and 4 eggs a day out of 4 hens, so I'm pleased with that. But I thought I'd add the mister since the humidity can be unbearable here.
